The Mistletoe Kiss Cocktail
To this day, one of my preferred drinks remains a straightforward vodka and cranberry, and those bellinis were quite reminiscent. The only difference is that instead of the vodka's sharpness, you savor a effervescent mouthful of champagne. Mmmmm!
Ingredients
Rosemary Syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 sprig rosemary
Mistletoe Kiss Drink
- 6 oz vodka
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 oz rosemary simple syrup
- 1 can club soda
Toppers
- 1 handful cranberries
- 2 sprigs rosemary
Instructions
- To make the rosemary simple syrup: Combine the water and sugar in a small saucepan set over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil while stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar. Allow the mixture to boil for 5 minutes then remove from the heat and drop in the sprig of rosemary. Allow the rosemary to steep for about 15 minutes and then discard the rosemary. Pour the simple syrup into a glass jar or bottle, cool to room temperature, cover, and refrigerate.
- To make a small batch: Pour vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup into a drink shaker filled with ice. Cover and shake well to blend. Divide drink mix between 2 rocks glasses filled with ice, straining the ice from the shaker as you pour. You'll only want to fill the glasses ¾-full. Top with club soda and a few cranberries for garnish. Add a sprig of rosemary to use as a stirrer.
- When ready to serve, pour the drink mix into an ice-filled rocks glass to ¾-full. Top each drink with club soda and a few cranberries for garnish. Add a sprig of rosemary to each drink as they are served to use as a stirrer.

Very Merry Ornamentini
This will definitely give your guests a conversation starter! It's not just a seasonal twist on a cosmo; it comes in a Christmas ornament. I mean, how cool is that! You can place these in martini glasses, arrange them in a bucket of ice, or even hang them on your tree for convenient access during those awkward family moments throughout the season. We're here to assist!
Equipment
- 1 ornament
Ingredients
Drink Recipe
- 1 cup vodka
- 1/2 cup orange liqueur
- 1/2 cup cherry juice
- 1/4 cup cranberry juice
- 1/4 cup orange juice (no pulp!)
Toppers
- 1 handful sugared cranberries
- 1 fresh rosemary sprig
Instructions
- Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously.
- Using a funnel, pour the mixture into four 3-inch clear glass ornaments that have been rinsed. Replace the topper on each ornament.
- Add sugared cranberries and a rosemary sprig to four martini glasses. Set the ornament in the glass to serve. Before drinking, slowly pour the contents of the ornament onto the cranberries.
Cheers to the holiday season & remember to drink responsibly!
I hope you derive as much joy from preparing these holiday cocktails as I did! Exercise caution around reindeer, as they can be a bit feisty. Be wary of opening the door to random carolers, as they might be bandits, and do your best to avoid finding yourself under the mistletoe with a relative—it’s awkward for everyone involved. Cheers!
